Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary
The HR Generalist provides on-site, hands-on human resources support to the manufacturing plant. This individual is responsible for the day-to-day administration of human resources policies, programs and procedures for all plant personnel including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, compensation, training and talent development.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Plant Manager, human resources TA team, and temporary agencies to deliver effective recruitment and retention strategies and identifies future staffing needs.
Facilitates new hire orientation and onboarding processes.
Drives a positive company culture focusing on various employee engagement initiatives.
Provide HR policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.
Responds to human resources-related inquiries and employee relations issues and conducts investigations when necessary.
Support payroll related processes.
Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
Deliver and manage talent management processes including progressive discipline.
Promotes safety initiatives supporting a safe work environment.
Conduct exit interviews and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications/Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field
Understanding of state and federal employment regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proactive approach, shows ownership, and follows through
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
3-5 years human resources experience
Bilingual English/Spanish required; Spanish writing/translation skills a plus
Manufacturing industry experience preferred
Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook) strong to intermediate skills required
PHR or SPHR certification preferred
