The Role and Department
DCAD (Foundation Team) is seeking to appoint a Grade 4 student developer(s) for the Transitions Blackboard site. Please note, applicants must be currently studying at Durham University to be eligible for this role.
Course Developer
Role Responsibilities
Following training and with appropriate guidance:
Support the development of courses, including the redesign and updating of resources and existing webpages.
Contribute to the creative design of the course, creating content from scratch which may include interactive resources, video and other media.
Proactively gather feedback from stakeholders and adapt the course content based upon this feedback.
Make recommendations to colleagues on the overall direction of the course. · Work as part of a team, being flexible to meet deadlines.
Make straightforward decisions and use own judgement to resolve problems, escalating where necessary.

Person Specification
Essential:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work on own initiative as well as an effective team member
Ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
The ability to solve problems, resolve issues, plan solutions and make pragmatic decisions.
Experience:
Experience of creative design, including editing videos and graphic design
Strong IT skills and the ability to quickly be able to pick up new software
Interest in digital content creation from an education perspective
