Job Title: Family Support Partner – Children’s Mobile Crisis Team Services (CMCTS) - PER Diem

Location: Reed Street, Philadelphia
Schedule: Per Diem, Weekends and Shift Pick-up

Hourly Rate: $24.04es during crisis and by providing resources as needed. The Family Support Partner will facilitate family support groups. The Family Support Partner pairs with the CMC team to provide support to youth in crisis and their families. The Family Support Partner provides emotional support to the caregiver and fosters empowerment and expression of family voice. They share parts of their own stories as an intentional way of helping caregivers develop motivation and actionable insight. Building upon family strengths, the Family Support Partner supports the caregiver in ways that addresses the behavioral health needs of the youth. The Family Support Partner models, trains, and coaches the caregiver in relevant skills.

 

About the Role:
The Family Support Partner will play a key role in supporting families during times of crisis. This position is part of the Children’s Mobile Crisis Team Services (CMCTS) and involves working closely with families to provide emotional support, resources, and guidance. The Family Support Partner will engage with caregivers, facilitate family support groups, and partner with the CMCT team to support youth in crisis and their families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing emotional support to caregivers and fostering empowerment.
  • Sharing personal experiences to help motivate and provide actionable insights for families.
  • Supporting caregivers in addressing the behavioral health needs of youth.
  • Modeling, training, and coaching caregivers in relevant skills.
  • Assisting in the development of family strengths to navigate challenges effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience: No formal education required; however, candidates must have personal experience in managing family issues related to children/adolescents with behavioral or psychiatric challenges, juvenile delinquency, substance abuse, autism, or similar issues. At least two years of experience in managing these challenges is required.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and understanding approach to family support.
