Job Description
The Family Development Supervisor oversees the licensing/certification of resource/foster parents, ensuring that families are prepared to meet the needs of children and their families receiving foster care placement at Bethanna.
The Family Development Supervisor oversees, pre-service training content and delivery; the mutual assessment homestudy interview process; gathering of supporting and required documentation and the process to approve or disapprove foster/resource parent applicants. The Family Development Supervisor ensures that families who may be disapproved are informed of their appeal rights and processes any appeals through to resolution.
A Master’s Degree is required in the field of Social Work or a related field. A minimum of two years experience in case work and experience working in the child welfare system is highly preferred. Experience in performing the functions of this position description, particularly the essential duties is also highly preferred.
