JOB SUMMARY
Supports all Fleet and Warehouse Operations activities in accordance with Hyper Networks, LLC policies and applicable government laws and regulations. This position primarily focuses on fleet management, vehicle coordination, maintenance oversight, compliance, and operational readiness across multiple markets, while also supporting warehouse operations and inventory activities as needed. Significant travel is expected to support fleet and operational needs in various regions. Reports directly to the Warehouse Director.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and oversee all fleet-related operations including vehicle assignments, inspections, preventive maintenance scheduling, repairs, registrations, renewals, and operational readiness
Coordinate with vendors, repair facilities, dealerships, and service providers to ensure timely maintenance, repairs, and servicing of company vehicles, trailers, and fleet equipment
Monitor fleet utilization, mileage, condition, compliance, fuel usage, and asset tracking to maximize operational efficiency and minimize downtime
Maintain fleet records including registrations, insurance documentation, maintenance logs, inspections, DOT compliance records, and operational reporting
Conduct regular inspections of fleet vehicles, trailers, warehouse equipment, and operational assets to ensure safety and compliance standards are maintained
Assist leadership with fleet lifecycle planning including vehicle replacements, upfitting, equipment allocation, and operational forecasting
Support implementation and improvement of fleet tracking systems, GPS monitoring, maintenance scheduling platforms, and asset management processes
Travel to various markets as needed to support fleet operations, audits, operational coverage, inventory control, and warehouse activities
Coordinate equipment and device rentals for assigned markets and track utilization of fleet-related assets
Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable governmental laws and regulations related to fleet operations, DOT requirements, OSHA safety standards, warehouse safety, and security procedures
Support warehouse operations including inventory control, material tracking, shipping and receiving, and recovered asset management as needed
Check shipments upon arrival to ensure orders have been filled correctly and materials meet required specifications
Track and maintain warehouse inventory, assigned inventory, recovered materials, fleet assets, and operational equipment
Review material and equipment purchase orders to align with project BOMs and budgets to support cost efficiency and profitability
Assign, issue, recover, and track materials and equipment provided to subcontractors and field personnel
Maintain understanding of GPNs and the operational use of materials and equipment
Track and trace vendor shipments to ensure timely delivery and expedite orders when necessary
Provide operational support and coverage for fleet and warehouse activities in any assigned market as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently to communicate effectively with employees, contractors, vendors, and leadership in person, by phone, and through written communication
Strong knowledge of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance coordination, DOT compliance, asset tracking, and fleet management best practices
Ability to travel frequently and support operations in multiple markets as needed
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced operational environment
Ability to prioritize workloads, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain accurate documentation
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics coordination, and material handling procedures
Strong working knowledge of Google Docs, Google Sheets, and/or Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with fleet tracking systems, GPS platforms, maintenance scheduling software, and inventory management systems preferred
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
2+ years experience in fleet coordination, vehicle management, logistics, or related operational support preferred
2+ years experience operating forklifts and warehouse equipment preferred
1+ years experience in warehouse operations or inventory management preferred
Experience with minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting preferred
Experience with telecommunication, fiber optic, and/or cable products and services preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS
Combination of warehouse, fleet yard, and field environments
Exposure to dust, fluctuating indoor and outdoor temperatures, and periodic high noise levels
Frequent travel required (30-35%)
