SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the mixing of ingredients to make the compound for producing PVC pipe
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate and monitor automated blending system.
- Load ingredients into hoppers.
- Operate resin-unloading equipment to transfer resin from tanker to silo storage.
- Responsible for the accuracy of all line paperwork/reports for his/her work shift.
- Responsible for the documentation of material usage and batch counts.
- Perform final check of resin tanker to ensure that it is empty and sign off truck for departure.
- Transport, load and unload skids of chemicals and other production materials from storage area to blending and production area.
- Perform basic maintenance such as changing filters and hoses and cleaning equipment.
- Monitor outside silo capacity level.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent education; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups (employees or customers).
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Have ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
SAFETY/TOTAL HOUSEKEEPING MANAGEMENT (THM)
Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees. Maintain their designated work spaces in a clean, safe and timely manner in compliance with the plants THM/Safety policy.

This position is in a plant environment where the employee will frequently be exposed to year round weather conditions, fumes and/or airborne particles and moving mechanical parts. The employee will on occasion be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise levels in the plant is usually loud, proper personal protective equipment will be worn in given plant areas and when essential job function necessitate.
