Product Lifecycle Project Manager
Job Description
Meet the Team:
Cisco Silicon One™ is redefining networking silicon and setting new industry standards. We are seeking a seasoned Production Program Manager (Production PLPM) to join our team in Taiwan to lead the sustaining phase of our silicon products. In this role, you will own the product lifecycle from post-production ramp through End of Life (EOL). You will be the primary driver for yield optimization, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), second-source assembly/test qualifications, and ensuring operational continuity for our global customer base.
Your Impact:
· Early Production Engagement: Engage early during the pre-production ramp phase to influence design for manufacturability and ensure a seamless, well-documented transition from NPI to the mass production sustaining stage.
Lifecycle Ownership: Manage the full sustaining lifecycle of silicon products, ensuring stability, cost-efficiency, and quality from post-NPI through EOL.
Yield Management: Partner with Test and Product Engineering to drive silicon yield improvements, root-cause analysis and closure for yield excursions, and implement corrective actions cross functionally.
ECO Management: Lead the coordination, implementation, and validation of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to ensure product integrity and minimal disruption to the supply chain including validation strategy, production risks and customer impact.
Second Source Qualification: Manage the qualification process for second-source assembly, test, and critical BOM components (e.g., Substrate, memory), ensuring technical parity and supply chain resilience. Coordinate technical correlation of test solutions, Qual execution and release criteria.
Sustaining Engineering: Ensure post-ramp stabilization and guard-band optimization. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve field quality issues, process deviations, and manufacturing bottlenecks.
EOL Planning: Manage the EOL process, including last-time-buy (LTB) coordination, inventory management, and customer transition planning.
Operational Excellence: Own key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product cost, quality, and delivery, driving continuous improvement in production processes.
Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular status updates to senior management regarding product health, cost-reduction initiatives, and supply chain risks.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field; Master's degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in semiconductor production, sustaining engineering, or high-tech program management.
Proven track record in managing silicon yield improvement, ECO processes, and manufacturing qualifications.
Strong knowledge of semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) operations and quality/reliability standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex technical issues.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
Experience in managing product transitions and EOL strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP, Agile, or similar project management certification.
Understanding silicon failure analysis and reliability testing.
Experience with supply chain operations and vendor management.
Black Belt in Six Sigma or equivalent process management is a plus.
Proficiency in program management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
