About the team and the role:

The Europe Monetisation team is responsible for driving long-term value creation across buyers, sellers, and partners. As Senior Manager, Monetisation - DE/EU Markets, you will be pivotal in crafting and delivering monetisation initiatives for Germany and eBay’s EU (FR, IT, ECM) markets.

This outstanding role is positioned at the intersection of commercial strategy, analytics, and practical implementation. You'll engage with essential revenue and profitability drivers, concentrating on seller-level incentives and promotions, pricing and fees, and special seller programs.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Monetisation Europe and work in close cooperation with groups across seller management, finance, analytics, legal, product, marketing, customer service, and global monetisation. We are seeking someone commercially astute, highly analytical, proficient in Excel and modelling, and capable of advancing initiatives from analysis through to implementation.

What you will accomplish:

  • Develop and complete monetisation initiatives for Germany and eBay’s EU markets, focusing on seller-level incentives, promotions, pricing, fees, and seller programs.

  • Analyse opportunities to increase incremental GMV, revenue, and profitability through focused seller investments, promotional mechanics, fee initiatives, and special programs.

  • Build arguments, Excel models, and performance trackers to support decision-making and measure impact.

  • Collaborate with analytics groups to assess performance, comprehend incrementality, and convert insights into clear recommendations.

  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery with finance, legal, marketing, customer service, analytics, product, and seller teams to ensure initiatives are carried out flawlessly and on time.

  • Collaborate closely with seller teams to guarantee investments, promotions, and programs align with market priorities and seller strategy.

  • Support process improvements, tooling requirements, and guidelines for pricing, promotions, fees, and special programs across EU markets.

  • Communicate recommendations, risks, and progress clearly to collaborators across functions and geographies.

What you will bring:

The ideal candidate will bring more than 6 years of relevant experience in pricing, revenue management, monetisation, commercial strategy, strategy consulting, ecommerce, marketplace, retail, or a similarly analytical commercial environment.

  • Outstanding commercial and analytical thinking skills, ideally developed through consulting and/or industry experience.

  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills, including arguments, scenario modelling, and performance tracking.

  • Strong analytical toolkit; SQL, Tableau, Excel Power Query, or similar tools highly desirable.

  • Capability to gauge opportunities, determine incremental impact, and interpret complex data into clear suggestions.

  • Strong execution rigor and attention to detail; proven ability to drive initiatives from analysis to implementation.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, matrixed, international environment.

  • Strong communication, collaborator management, and influencing skills across functions and geographies.

  • Experience in ecommerce, marketplace, retail, pricing, promotions, seller economics, fees, or B2C commercial frameworks highly desirable.
