Job Description

Meet the Team

The Global EIC Sales Onboarding team within Sales Enablement & Acceleration (SEA) is a forward-thinking, AI-first group on a mission to flip the traditional onboarding experience on its head. We architect the Day 1 journey for our interns and Early-in-Career talent, ensuring every individual is launched toward an incredible career trajectory at Cisco. By merging human-centric design with cutting-edge AI, we are redefining what it means to join a world-class sales organization! We are a high-energy, inclusive team that values bold experimentation and global impact. If you are a visionary disruptor who is ready to challenge the status quo and empower the next generation of sales leaders, we want to meet you.

Your Impact

Lead and coach a cohort of early-in-career Associate Solutions Engineers through their first 12 months at Cisco, ensuring a seamless transition from onboarding to high-performance SE roles. Translate your field-proven technical expertise into actionable coaching plans that emphasize technical agility, demo mastery, and role readiness. Train your cohort to utilize AI assistants and technical automation tools to streamline solution design, lab configurations, and administrative tasks during their foundational year. Execute rigorous performance tracking and conduct regular reviews to identify and bridge technical skill gaps throughout the one-year development program. Drive successful career transitions for your engineering team at the end of their first year, ensuring a steady pipeline of elite technical talent ready to solve complex customer challenges.

As a ASE Manager, your physical presence in the office is a core requirement of this role, as it allows you to serve as a visible, accessible leader and mentor to our new hires. You will be expected to work on-site to provide the daily, hands-on mentorship and informal coaching that are essential for fostering a collaborative team culture and driving the professional development of our early-in-career talent.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

  • 6+ years of experience in a field-facing technical role (e.g., Solutions Engineer or Technical Specialist)

  • 3+ years of direct people management experience in a sales organization

  • Proven track record in technical validation (demos/POVs) and utilizing AI-integrated workflows to automate technical tasks and drive efficiency

  • Proficiency in sales and engineering tools, including Salesforce and lab environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to champion the adoption of new technologies, specifically AI, to drive team efficiency and output

  • Active technical certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent industry credentials

  • Ability to simplify complex architectural concepts into clear technical narratives

  • Strong mindset for coaching and managing the career paths of new engineers

  • Experience leading technical "stretch assignments" or informal mentorship
