Rare Tumor Account Manager
Position Summary
The Rare Tumor Account Manager is responsible for leading and managing key accounts end-to-end through the patient journey and stakeholder ecosystem. The role acts as the primary commercial lead within assigned accounts, driving disease awareness, patient identification, market access, formulary inclusion, and successful brand adoption while ensuring cross-functional collaboration and compliance excellence.
The individual will serve as a strategic partner to healthcare professionals, hospital stakeholders, and internal teams to support successful launch execution and sustainable business growth in the rare oncology-neurology space.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage assigned accounts from A to Z, including account mapping, stakeholder engagement, business planning, execution, and follow-up.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans aligned with brand objectives and patient needs.
- Identify opportunities and barriers within each account and proactively drive solutions.
- Lead account prioritization and engagement strategies across physicians, pharmacists, procurement, finance, and administration stakeholders.
- Serve as brand ambassadors with key customers, healthcare professionals, and thought leaders in the territory.
- Support successful launch execution of rare disses products within a competitive market landscape.
- Ensure strong value proposition communication and differentiated positioning of promoted brands.
- Drive disease awareness initiatives and support patient journey optimization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, physicians, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Initiate and generate strategic opportunities through scientific engagement and customer partnership.
- Support identification and referral pathways to improve patient access and diagnosis.
- Organize and execute customer activities, scientific meetings, and educational initiatives in alignment with company strategy.
- Drive formulary inclusion, protocol adoption, and commercial access within key accounts.
- Engage with hospital decision-makers and relevant stakeholders to support access discussions and business cases.
- Monitor access landscape, tender opportunities, and institutional dynamics affecting business growth.
- Achieve and exceed territory sales objectives while ensuring sustainable growth.
- Monitor account performance, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Contribute to forecasting, territory planning, and resource allocation.
- Manage approved territory budgets effectively and responsibly.
- Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Pharmacovigilance, and Marketing teams.
- Support launch readiness activities and ensure smooth execution across functions.
- Share field insights and contribute to business intelligence and strategic decision-making
- Maintain high level of disease, product, and competitive scientific knowledge.
- Effectively communicate scientific data and clinical value propositions to stakeholders.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in full compliance with company policies, local regulations, and ethical standards.
- Represent company values, leadership behaviors, and patient-centric culture in all interactions.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy
- Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical industry experience with Key Account Management within multinational pharmaceutical companies.
- Experience in Oncology and/or Rare Disease is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Saudi healthcare systems and market dynamics.
- Proven track record in formulary inclusion, stakeholder management, and account leadership.
- Strong business acumen with strategic thinking capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong scientific understanding and ability to interpret clinical data.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage complex stakeholder environments.
- High ownership mindset with strong execution and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to travel extensively across territory, with approximately 40% field travel required as part of the role

Candidates Criteria:
1- Experience within Saudi Market for at least 2 Years, in Oncology/Rare Disease/Specialty Lines.
2- Holding Saudi Nationality with Valid Professional Licenses.
