Role Purpose:
The Senior Manager Communications is responsible for driving strategic internal and external communication initiatives that accelerate the adoption of digital products, enhance organizational alignment, and elevate DHL’s capabilities in the market. This role leads integrated campaigns, competitive insights, executive storytelling, and stakeholder engagement with a clear focus on measurable outcomes, ROI, and IKO‑linked business impact.
The role is part of the Global Business IT, Digital Customer Solutions team.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
- Lead product communications for existing digital solutions, including tech refreshes, global rollouts, releases, and service alerts, with clear engagement and adoption KPIs.
- Design and execute internal campaigns to launch new products and capabilities, driving employee readiness, usage, and IKO‑linked adoption metrics.
- Develop external marketing campaigns that promote DHL’s digital capabilities to customers and the market, delivering measurable ROI and lead‑generation outcomes.
- Produce competitive intelligence reporting on competitor capabilities and industry positioning to inform product, commercial, and communication strategies.
- Manage cross‑functional stakeholder alignment, partnering closely with Internal Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, and Digital teams to ensure message consistency and coordinated execution.
- Oversee knowledge hubs and SharePoint sites, ensuring information accuracy, governance, accessibility, and measurable user engagement.
- Develop high‑impact executive communications, including presentations, narratives, speeches, and strategic messaging for senior leadership.
- Coordinate major events and meetings, supporting virtual and in‑person sessions with clear metrics for attendee engagement, satisfaction, and business impact.
- Deliver Project & Product specific communications as required and in alignment with project plans.
- Stakeholder management at senior levels of the organization with a high requirement to influence, gain buy-in, and active engagement.
- Manage cross-functional stakeholder alignment: partner closely with Internal Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, and Digital teams to ensure message alignment and coordinated execution.
Do you have what it takes?
- University degree or comparable qualification, preferably in marketing, communications, and/or languages.
- Perceptive ability to spot communication opportunity areas and relationship building to drive engagement of the communications organization.
- Stakeholder management at senior levels of the organization requires a high level of influence to gain buy-in and active engagement.
- Experience delivering external marketing campaigns with clear ROI and IKOs.
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple countries and businesses to harmonize/align agenda and sustain focus on priority areas.
- Minimum 8-years of in-depth professional experience in communications focused role(s) within a global environment.
- Fluency in English.
