Job Purpose

As the Global Head of Strategy – Industrial Projects, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategy and direction of Industrial Projects as well as the digital transformation agenda to optimize operational efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and capitalize on emerging opportunities in the industry.

You will lead strategic growth initiatives to leverage digital technologies, data analytics, and innovation to propel the company's growth trajectory while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market demands.

Reporting to CEO, Industrial Projects & member of the DGF IP SMT.

Principal Accountabilities

• Strategic Planning and Execution
• Develop comprehensive strategic plans aligned with the company's objectives, market dynamics, and technological advancements, with a keen focus on digitalization.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize strategic initiatives and allocate resources effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to identify strategic opportunities and risks, adapting plans accordingly.
• Digital Transformation Leadership
• Spearhead the digital transformation strategy, identifying key areas for innovation and integration of digital solutions throughout the organization.
• Championing a culture of digitalization, fostering awareness, adoption, and continuous improvement of digital tools and processes across departments and regions.
• Drive the development and implementation of digital initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance service offerings.
• Innovation and Technology Adoption
• Evaluate emerging technologies and digital trends relevant to freight forwarding and logistics, assessing their potential impact and feasibility for implementation.
• Drive innovation by fostering partnerships with technology vendors, startups, and industry players to co-create solutions that address specific business challenges and opportunities.
• Lead pilot projects and proof of concepts to test new technologies and methodologies, scaling successful initiatives across the organization.
• Data-driven Decision Making
• Establish robust data analytics capabilities, leveraging data insights to drive strategic decision-making, optimize processes, and enhance business performance.
• Develop KPIs and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of digital initiatives, providing regular reports and recommendations to key stakeholders.
• Implement data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Cross-functional Collaboration
• Foster collaboration and alignment across functional teams, including operations, sales, IT, finance, and marketing, to drive cohesive digital strategies and initiatives.
• Act as a liaison between business units and technology teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring successful implementation of digital projects.
• Cultivate a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging knowledge sharing, teamwork, and professional development.
• Drive Talent Management framework in IP with support of Global HR
• M&A, partnerships/JVs and asset ownership
• Coordinate with Country/Region/Global on M&A, Partnership opportunities
• Go to lead for asset ownership discussions and BCA to support
• Actively seek opportunities for growth across IP, aligned with strategic project opportunities
• Sustainability
• Coordinate with DHL Group sustainability team and drive agenda across IP globally
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, industry associations, and government agencies, to promote awareness of the company's sustainability initiatives and achievements.
• Build partnerships and alliances with like-minded organizations to advance shared sustainability objectives and drive positive changes in the industry. Included seeking BB/HL opportunities to include green fuel initiatives.

Experience and Skills

• Master’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience
