What Will You Do?
The Project Engineer will be responsible for the project management of water treatment initiatives, ensuring the successful design, installation, and commissioning of systems for the removal of contaminants such as arsenic, sulphur, and fluoride. This role requires expertise in specialized technologies (Sdox/Cdox), rigorous quality assurance protocols (QAP), and effective vendor coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution: Manage all aspects of assigned projects from the initial design phase through construction, commissioning, and operation, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Technical Design and Optimization: Design and optimize water treatment processes, including advanced systems for arsenic, sulphur, and fluoride removal. Familiarity with specific technologies like Sdox and Cdox is essential for developing effective treatment solutions.
- Quality Assurance and Control (QAP): Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and quality control procedures to ensure all project materials, processes, and final outputs meet required specifications and regulatory standards.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Coordinate and manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, vendors, and regulatory agencies. This includes writing tender documents, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all project activities adhere to relevant environmental regulations, safety standards, and engineering codes. Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and compliance statements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Site Support and Troubleshooting: Conduct site visits and assessments, provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases, and troubleshoot any operational issues that arise.
- Mentorship and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site personnel.
