Job Description
- Lead Environmental, Safety, Health & Asset (ESHA) activities at the Broussard and Reserve sites to ensure compliance with local regulations and Clariant guidelines, while supporting efficient operations and production. Accountable for ESHA key performance indicators and implementation of Care Chemicals BU ESHA targets.
- Maintain Safety and Environmental compliance for Offshore Oil Services employees, including coordinating new employee onboarding, managing compliance in customer contractor management platforms (e.g., ISNetworld, Avetta), and facilitating drug and alcohol screening. Maintain working knowledge of offshore regulatory requirements for the Gulf of America.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve ESHA performance, collaborating with site ESHA representatives and the BU ESHA partner to drive continuous improvement across Broussard and Reserve.
- Ensure action items arising from audits, regulatory visits, customer claims, or other sources are formally defined and completed in a timely manner. Establish and maintain a structured incident investigation and root cause analysis process.
- Implement and maintain risk identification and management programs, including Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plans (RMP). Serve as the on-site expert for process safety, ensuring appropriate controls and assessments are in place.
- Build and maintain working relationships with local regulators to secure, maintain, and amend air, water, and waste permits across all sites. Engage external consultants and site partners as needed for specialized compliance expertise.
- Review and update operating procedures and training materials for site and offshore chemical service representatives.
- Lead and support the Local Emergency Management team, including planning, participation, and preparedness activities.
- Ensure that all site improvements and operational changes are managed in accordance with the Management of Change process.
