Site Materials Specialist

Audubon is currently seeking a Site Materials Specialist to join our team in our Off Site Office. The Site Materials Specialist is tasked to learn and understand the purpose for materials within governmental, state, and environmental via compliance with project application.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Checks the accuracy and application appropriateness of requested material.
  • Supports bulk orderings in Spring and Fall by creating Purchase Requisitions and tracking Purchase Orders.
  • Participates in inventory assessment of materials needed.
  • Accurately completes, files, and maintains required governmental, SOX, and environmental data.
  • Inspect the materials onsite for leakage or fumes and advise correct chain of command for replacements or sent back to vendor.
  • Using field screening equipment and documenting readings.
  • Interacting and communicating daily with contractors, field technicians, and project managers.
  • Sampling, testing, and inspecting soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:

  • All employees are responsible for supporting Audubon Companies’ Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. This includes:
  • Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety
  • Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
  • Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
  • Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements

 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Commercial Driver’s License required.
  • Three years' experience in the construction industry.
  • Must be able to obtain site and Safety training certifications required for the project.
  • Construction safety practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and HSE guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and general office systems.
  • Occasionally moving, kneeling, crouching, and carrying > 30 lbs weight.
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively.
  • Aptitude in math and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train others on proper work and safety procedures.
  • Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.
