About Pro Bono
Our pro bono practice was the first of its kind in Australia. We use the law to help people realise their fundamental rights and freedoms, access opportunities and challenge systems that affect their lives. We also support not-for-profit organisations working with people facing disadvantage.
We are particularly known for our work with First Nations peoples and communities, together with refugees and asylum seekers, people with disabilities and in human rights matters. Our pro bono team includes an experienced team of eight lawyers, one special counsel and two partners dedicated entirely to pro bono work. The team acts in its own matters and also supports lawyers across all the firm's practice groups to contribute through pro bono.
We work closely with the access to justice sector, our clients and their communities across Australia. These relationships shape and inform the work we do.
