The Transportation Business Leader will shape that future. With an opportunity to build from the ground up. Reporting to the President of Artheon, this executive will lead the strategy, performance, and continued evolution of the transportation business, unifying three organizations into one high-performing enterprise while expanding market presence, strengthening client relationships, developing exceptional leaders, and driving both organic growth and strategic acquisitions and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Position Summary
Reporting to the President of Artheon, the Transportation Business Leader is responsible for the overall strategy, financial performance, operational excellence, culture, and external market presence of the transportation business.
This executive will own and provide full P&L leadership while overseeing business development, organizational integration, client relationships, talent development, and operational execution. Success requires a leader who combines strategic vision with operational discipline—someone who can grow the business, build exceptional teams, and deliver outstanding results for clients and employees alike.


Leadership Priorities


Expand Our Reach
Strategy, Growth & Market Leadership 
•     Establish and execute the strategic vision in partnership with Artheon leadership and the NY/NJ executive team. 
•     Expand market share through organic growth, service diversification, and innovation. 
•     Strengthen relationships with DOTs, transit agencies, municipalities, ports, airports, and other public-sector transportation clients. 
•     Pursue major transportation programs, strategic contracts, joint ventures, design-build, CMGC, and P3 opportunities. 
•     Leverage the broader Trilon network to identify cross-selling opportunities and expand client relationships. •     Identify, evaluate, and integrate strategic acquisitions that enhance capabilities and accelerate long-term growth.

•     Full P&L ownership with accountability for revenue, backlog, profitability, and EBITDA.
•     Budgeting, forecasting, and KPI-driven performance management.
•     Leading business unit leaders with clear accountability and disciplined execution.
•     Driving innovation, quality, safety, and continuous operational improvement.
•     Ensuring exceptional project delivery and outstanding client satisfaction.
•     Serving as the external face of the transportation business with clients, regulators, government officials, and industry organizations throughout New York and New Jersey.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate brings significant executive leadership experience within transportation, engineering, infrastructure consulting, or related professional services. Preferred qualifications include:

•     15+ years of progressive executive leadership experience.
•     Demonstrated success leading complex, growth-oriented organizations with meaningful P&L responsibility.
•     Proven ability to grow businesses through strategic client development, operational excellence, and organizational leadership.
•     Experience leading both organic growth initiatives and strategic acquisitions, including post-merger integration.
•     Strong understanding of the New York and New Jersey transportation markets.
•     Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Planning, Business, Transportation, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
•     Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

The base salary range for this role is indicated in the posting. This range reflects the company’s good faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
