Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION:
Based at our Lucerne Valley, CA production facility, will oversee multiple locations and teams, including plants in Arizona and Kansas, as well as sales and support staff located in California. Responsible for the development and implementation of Human Resources processes, providing integrated HR solutions for the needs of internal clients taking into account the corporate policies of training and development, employee relations, compensation, recruiting and retention, etc., while abiding by all applicable current legislation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify learning & development requirements and prepare development plans for employees. Organize and conduct orientation for new hires.
Provide advice as to the best HR management practices to support business objectives.
Identify trends/issues that require resolution and involves appropriate resources.
Provide employee relations counsel to managers and employees on HR matters including performance, discipline, organizational decisions and career development.
Provide interpretation and guidance on human resources policies and employment law.
Support HR colleagues and managers to understand and comply with relevant legislation and employee relation policies and practices.
Participate in the talent acquisition process, ensure the quality of personnel hired, the effectiveness of recruiting and compliance with law requirements.
May assist with job advertising, posting and post job information on Omya homepage and external websites.
Review resumes, perform telephone interviews, administer in-person interviews and conducts reference & background checks.
Recommending placement of internal and external candidates.
Other duties as assigned.
