What you’ll accomplish with us
As an Application Specialist, you’ll be at the core of our mission. Your main responsibilities will include:
Reviewing insurance applications and extracting required information
Entering data accurately to create master pending records
Making data‑entry updates, creating system notifications, and finalizing applications when appropriate
Processing applications in date order to ensure first‑in, first‑out workflow
Maintaining an error/submit ratio of 2% or less
Submitting at least 23 applications per hour
Maintaining a daily zero backlog
Meeting acceptable voice/mobile/call center application submit metrics
Reporting contracting/licensing system errors to the Licensing/Contracting Department
Adding system notifications for incorrectly received field scans or faxes
Assigning documents received in department systems
Working daily reports distributed by the Production Manager
Notifying Lead Application Specialists or Junior Analysts when multiple applications need to be split and assigned
Providing documents to the Lead Policy Print Specialist to establish new list bill groups
Reviewing system reports for previous‑day submissions
Building a knowledge base to reduce repetitive assistance
Following up on cases listed on the Policy Issue & Marketing Pending Applications report
Conducting business in accordance with all laws, regulations, and the iA Financial Group Code of Conduct

Has experience performing under pressure and managing multiple tasks
Has a high school diploma or GED
Has strong computer skills, including MS Office, and learns new systems quickly
Works well independently and as part of a team
Adapts well to procedural and organizational changes
Takes initiative and responsibility for assigned work
Maintains a positive, learning‑oriented attitude
Is able to work overtime when business needs require
Has an intermediate level of English proficiency, as the role involves daily communication with internal partners and stakeholders
