Rothe is seeking a Project Manager to support NASA's IT Infrastructure portfolio in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency's enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications NASA's OCIO and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, producing NASA TV segments, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA's message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA's communication to the outside world. Job Description:
The Project Manager IT Infrastructure provides coordinated project management support across planning, execution, documentation, and reporting activities for the IT infrastructure initiatives. This role supports adherence to NASA governance processes, assists with stakeholder coordination across OCIO teams, and contributes to maintaining schedules, risks, and project performance data. The Project Manager helps organize project activities and supports the effective delivery of project updates and work products across the IT Infrastructure team.
Functional Responsibilities:
Project Management and Lifecycle Support
- Assist in creating and updating project artifacts such as schedules, action logs, risk registers, and meeting documentation.
- Maintain project information in approved tools and help ensure data is kept current and accurate.
- Support tracking project risks, issues, and dependencies by gathering inputs and documenting updates.
- Contribute to project performance monitoring by preparing and reviewing inputs related to cost, schedule, scope, and risk.
- Help prepare project materials for status meetings, working sessions, and periodic reviews.
- Participate in project meetings to capture updates, coordinate follow up actions, and support documentation needs.
- Maintain project documentation repositories and follow established configuration control practices as directed.
Integration and Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to gather updates, clarify assigned tasks, and support communication across teams.
- Share project information and routine updates with team members and leadership, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Assist in identifying potential schedule or resource impacts and escalate concerns as appropriate.
- Support adherence to relevant governance expectations by ensuring project documentation aligns with NPR 7120.x, NIST, OMB, and other applicable policies as guided by senior staff.
Continual Service Improvement
- Recommend improvements to project workflows, task tracking, or documentation practices based on day-to-day experience.
- Support implementation of updated templates, tools, or processes to strengthen project coordination and overall efficiency.
- Participate in discussions about service improvement activities and help gather feedback for refinement.
Deliverable Tracking and Documentation
- Assist with tracking project deliverables, scheduled milestones, and required documentation.
- Ensure documents, submissions, and supporting materials are properly organized, accessible, and up to date.
- Help maintain traceability by documenting where deliverables are stored and confirming status with project leads.
Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment.
- Minimum Education: BA/BS
- Minimum Experience: A minimum of 5 years of project management experience supporting IT, technical, or infrastructure related projects, including hands on experience coordinating tasks, maintaining project documentation, and supporting risk, schedule, and performance tracking.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of project management experience supporting IT or technical initiatives.
- General knowledge of IT concepts, enterprise systems, and infrastructure environments.
- Experience working within Agile or hybrid project delivery frameworks.
- Ability to track and document risks, issues, action items, and dependencies using project management tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to support coordination across technical and non technical stakeholders.
- Ability to understand project workflows, analyze project information, and contribute practical recommendations to improve efficiency.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational capability to manage multiple project elements simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting NASA or federal government programs.
- Familiarity with NIST standards, OMB memorandums, or similar federal policy requirements.
- Experience supporting projects aligned to NASA's NPR 7120 or similar governance processes.
- Professional certifications or development such as CAPM, PMP in progress, Agile (Scrum, SAFe), or ITIL.
- Experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, service delivery functions, or multi team coordination.

Pay Range: $104,000 - $118,000 per year
