Job Summary

Tower Health Medical Group seeks a Physician, Primary Care to work in Wyomissing, PA. The Physician, Primary Care is responsible for overall care, including the coordination of medical specialists and supportive care. In this position, the Physician, Primary Care’s specific day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to: Providing and managing direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population; Prescribing pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions; Referring patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate; Training and supervising medical students and residents engaged in specialty activities and procedures, as appropriate; May manage the daily operations of a specific medical program, patient care unit, or research functions; Directing and coordinating the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required; Following established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards; As appropriate to the position, participating in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs; Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned; and Supervising Physician Extenders.


Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Must have Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited school of medicine or foreign equivalent.

 

License/certification Requirement:

Must have a Pennsylvania medical license.

 

Residency/Training Requirement:

Completion of accredited 36-month Internal Medicine Residency program.

 

Skills Requirement:

Board Certified / Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.

 

Number of positions open: One

 

Work Hours: Hours fluctuate from 8am-4pm and 8:30am-4:30pm
