Description

Capstone Technology Partners is seeking a versatile Intern to support the evolution of our internal digital fabric. You will assist in researching technology stacks for AI R&D, modernizing our web presence with GIS integration, and ensuring our internal access controls meet CMMC Level 2 standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on mission-critical style security frameworks while pursuing professional AWS certification.


Key Responsibilities

● AI Infrastructure Research: Evaluate and prototype tech stacks (e.g., LangChain, Vector Databases, AWS Bedrock) to support secure, internal LLM development.
● Technical Writing & White Papers: Conduct deep-dive research into emergent AI and cybersecurity trends to author white papers and technical briefs for stakeholders.
● Internal Portal Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance of an internal portal dedicated to employee communications
● GIS Web Development: Assist in developing and modernizing web applications featuring GIS integration, focusing on data visualization and user experience.
● CMMC Access Control Evaluation: Perform internal audits of access control policies (AC) to ensure alignment with NIST SP 800-171/CMMC requirements.
● Execution & Project Tracking: Utilize Asana for task management, sprint coordination, and milestone tracking.
● Professional Development: Dedicate structured time to study for and obtain AWS certifications.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Systems
● Strong research skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in written white papers.
● Experience with Python or JavaScript and an interest in AI/ML frameworks.
● Basic understanding of cloud environments (specifically AWS).
