Job Description
Position Purpose:
Management of the Safety and Quality Management System, responsible for, but not limited to, ensuring implementation of a safety and quality management system for the business unit, developing a culture of safety and quality, taking into account the applicable OSHA and international quality standards; ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, VDA 6.8 and customer requirements and standards set by Schnellecke Logistics to ensure compliance.
Responsibilities
- Development and implementation of programs and processes to effectively comply with all health, safety, environment & quality requirements set by government regulations, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, VDA 6.3 Schnellecke Logistics, and their customers.
- Managing the Integrated Management System (IMS) of the BU, in order to keep business processes conforming to the international standards ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, VDA 6.3 and customer specific requirements.
- Manage the audit process at the BU level, to assess the processes and manage continuous improvement thereof.
- Monitor the processes and deliverables of the service through analysis and statistical tools in order to provide information to area of operations to detect and prevent the generation of nonconforming product and quality problems in the service. Blocking and release of material.
- Perform management of risk assessments to identify, assess and manage risks related to health, safety, environment & quality.
- Implement and development of incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action system to adequately determine root and latent causes of failure and to establish immediate and sustainable corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Responsible for administration and control of documents by ensuring that the documents are reviewed at regular intervals and that only the current approved versions are available to all departments at their point of use.
- Development and evaluation of effective training programs for health, safety, environment & quality systems.
- Administration and evaluation of client chargeback claims to investigate and provide sufficient evidence to successfully appeal invalid claims.
- Development and tracking of KPIs to evaluate performance and improvement of out of target results utilizing PDCA.
- Analyzing Safety Performance Data to monitor trends and develop initiatives to prevent unsafe conditions and behaviors.
- Management of environmental programs to reduce emissions and ensure responsible disposal and recycling of materials.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Bachelor’s Degree or minimum 4 year’s job-related experience in the field of Quality/Safety
- Good communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent computer and data entry skills
- Fluent in English

Physical Demands/Work Environment
- This job operates in a warehouse and office environment.
- Exposure to occasionally loud noise levels.
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time. Bending and/or reaching may be required.
- Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times while on Shop Floor to prevent injury to self or others.
