Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The basic purpose and function of the Production Scheduler is to develop production requirements on order demand and inventories, negotiating production plans that optimize manufacturing output and efficiencies, while meeting or exceeding all Customer Service levels. Coordinates production line changes based on production performance and product mix. Responsible for responding to all internal questions relating to ship dates and production needs.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree Operations Management, or equivalent work experience in an operations manufacturing environment.
- Two years’ experience in capacity planning, production operations, production forecasting, or inventory management.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications, certifications, and/or licenses)
- Experience using MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP applications.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creating production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and production capacity.
- Coordinating with various departments such as production, procurement, and logistics to ensure alignment of schedules and resources.

- Analyzing production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize scheduling processes.

- Must review product mix, inventory, forecast, manufacturing/process constraints to formulate production requirements and ship dates.
- Planning of product throughout the plant in the most efficient way to meet or exceed customer requirements.
