Job Description
Essential Responsibilities (but are not limited to):
- Work in a global environment, collaborating with product owners, architects and technical leaders to understand requirements and user stories and thereby develop quality software as member of the Scrum team (Agile Methodology).
- Ensure code quality, test coverage and adherence to various quality parameters per GE quality manual. Demonstrate a quality mindset in all aspects of deliver able for our customers.
- Ensure that the implementation results in reusable software assets. Learn and understand clinical relevance of MR Visualization applications and platform components. Investigate and help resolve product complaints re‐ ported by customers / field engineers.
- Perform integration & verification activities at component and sub-system levels.
- Participate in team meetings, introspection sessions and other group activities. Identify technical risks, quality shortfalls and flag for resolution.
- Document requirements, designs, verifications, and other key development activities in accordance with established GE Healthcare and local quality processes.
- Participate in all scrum ceremonies and provide inputs to improve the process and performance on the scrum team at every level. Strong co-ordination capability within peers across cross-functional scrum teams.
- Communicate project status, risks and issues to stakeholders. Facilitate the use of latest tools (including GenAI), techniques and development environments that enhance team’s productivity.
- Share best practices with other software engineering groups within GE Healthcare. Partner with global teams to promote consistency in development practices, tools and methods.
- Ensure all actions and software delivered are compliant with GE Healthcare regulations. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applica‐ ble laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
- Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables.
Educational Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Computer Science Engineering/Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related computer field, with 3+ years of software development experience.
Required Skills:
- 3+ Years of experience in Software Development for NPI and/or R&D projects of global nature. Practical experience in engineering product development processes on cross-functional programs with a focus on related engineering discipline.
- Foundational understanding of MRI and Medical Image/Signal Processing.
- Working knowledge in areas of Deep Learning and AI, for example, CNN, VLM, LLM, Generative Network, etc.
- Working knowledge in areas like Python, C++, PyTorch, Tensorflow.
- Good knowledge in Object Oriented Design (OOD) and Programming (OOP) concepts. Good understanding of data structures.
- Working knowledge in areas of systems and deployment, for examples: LINUX, Docker, Git, Flask
- Working experience in scaled Agile environment and understanding of CI/ CD.
- Familiarity with industry software development practices, tools and environments including practical usage of Configuration Management systems, Defect Tracking Tools and Debuggers.
Desired Characteristics:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in the medical industry, particularly in medical imaging and visualization application development.
- Familiarity with GE Healthcare engineering tools and processes (PRD, QMS).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
- Ability to develop innovative concepts and solutions for complex products.
- Experience working in a global team environment and cross-functional product development teams.
