About the role
Join the team at Cherry Creek Primary Health Service and play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to young people within the Cherry Creek Youth Justice Precinct. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will provide holistic nursing care in a culturally safe and supportive environment that promotes positive health outcomes for young people.
This is a unique opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team delivering primary health care, emergency response, mental health, alcohol and other drug services, and specialist care within a modern purpose-built facility.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver consumer-centred nursing care in line with best practice standards and Barwon Health requirements
- Provide evidence-based care in collaboration with Registered Nurses and the multidisciplinary team
- Support medication administration and medication rounds under delegation
- Participate in care planning, case reviews, quality improvement activities and clinical documentation processes
What we’re looking for
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse
- Completion of NMBA approved medication administration and complex care units
- Minimum two years post graduate nursing experience
- Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills with a commitment to culturally safe care
