Technical Standards: including managing global subject matter experts with responsibility for creating and deploying process documentation for all can-making technology, direct materials (coatings), utility, power, civil construction and wastewater systems
Establish standards for design, installation, startup and utilization of can lines
Responsible for coordinating standard plant design with project values ranging from $200 Million (M) to $400M
Set standards for capital budgeting and control
Lead the governance and processes to ensure accurate cost estimation and budgetary control
Coordinate the preparation of annual capital budget for general operations globally (>$150M)
Track and report on this project portfolio throughout the year
Collaborate and work closely with Capital Procurement and key suppliers of major capital equipment and services to review standard equipment specifications and enforce OEM change control
Oversee the system for trials and workflows that assess operational readiness of process innovations; this requires close coordination with suppliers, operations and Ball Operational Excellence organization.
Responsible for creation of global specifications, technical standards and change management strategy for direct materials such as inside lacquers, inks and varnishes, executing the strategy from supply through application
Technical licensee support: Manage communications, information flows and the financial reconciliation
Direct the provision of engineering and technical support to the regional and joint venture engineering teams
Collaborate with Operational Excellence teams to evaluate good and best practices with responsibility of adopting and deploying as global standards
