Working from schematics or wiring diagrams and layouts, assembles and installs electronic and pneumatic equipment.
Examines and tests defective equipment to determine cause of malfunction or failure.
Overhauls, tests and calibrates electronic, electrical and pneumatic equipment throughout Company facilities.
Designs, documents and performs installations, operational and performance qualifications for equipment and facilities.
Maintains and repairs process instrumentation, programmable controllers and computer systems. Maintains the equipment tracking system.
Carries out the provisions of a continuous instrumentation preventive maintenance system and maintains applicable records.
Repairs and keeps record of work done on instrumentation and production process instrumentation.
Maintains inventory of adequate spare parts for instrumentation, air flow systems and production instrumentation.
Modifies, as required, newly received equipment to enable interface with existing systems.
Must communicate effectively with technical and professional personnel within the Company, as well as, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
Recommends improvements to electronic and pneumatic systems.
Performs other related duties as required.
May be required to train others.
