Job Summary:**

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Project Team Leader, will lead and manage complex, high-impact supply chain projects from initiation to completion at Eli Lilly and Company. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, implementing innovative solutions, and optimizing site and global supply chain processes to support the company's strategic objectives. The successful candidate will foster cross-functional collaboration and lead a team of project professionals to deliver results on time and within budget.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Lead and manage the full lifecycle of complex supply chain projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
* Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk management strategies, and communication plans.
* Guide and mentor a team of supply chain project professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
* Collaborate with various internal stakeholders (e.g., manufacturing, R&D, commercial, quality, finance) and external partners to ensure seamless project integration and successful outcomes.
* Identify opportunities for supply chain optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements, and translate these into actionable project initiatives.
* Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for projects, reporting progress, risks, and challenges to senior leadership.
* Drive the adoption of best practices in project management methodologies and tools within the supply chain organization.
* Facilitate decision-making processes, resolve conflicts, and proactively address project impediments to maintain momentum.
* Ensure all project activities comply with Eli Lilly's quality standards, global regulations, and internal policies.

Job Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale, cross-functional supply chain projects.
  • SAP knowledge and awareness
  • GMP experience required

Additional Preference

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including demand planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics
  • Pharma experience
  • Expereince with QMS systems
  • Familiar with upstream supplier impacts and downstream distribution impacts.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma certification desirable but not required).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools and AI integration (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, Co-pilot, Nadia, Claude etc...).
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to change, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Less than 10% workload travel may be required.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$93,750 - $137,500

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
