Freight Forwarder- Trainee

Job Description

• Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service across both Import and Export shipments
• Liaise professionally with customers, overseas offices, and internal colleagues via phone and email 
• Update, check, and maintain accurate shipment information within DSV systems (full system training will be provided) 
• Plan and coordinate export trailers for Northern Ireland and Ireland 
• Provide timely Proof of Delivery (POD) to customers and overseas offices upon completion of shipments 
• Investigate, resolve, and follow up on customer and operational queries to ensure prompt resolution of any issues 
• Monitor shipments closely, following up on collections and deliveries 
• Complete general administrative duties accurately

• Reliable and punctual, with a consistent approach to meeting responsibilities 
• Good IT skills, with the ability and willingness to quickly learn and adapt to new systems 
• High attention to detail, with the ability to identify issues and apply practical problem solving solutions 
• An adaptable and flexible approach, able to respond positively to changing priorities and operational demands
