Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient TM – Zonal Field Engineer to lead our Radio Access Network optimization and performance management initiatives in UPE zones. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise across multiple wireless technologies (2G, 4G, and 5G) with a strong focus on data KPIs, RF parameter optimization, and field performance enhancement.

 

 

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

• Lead and manage RAN performance optimization activities across 2G, 4G, and 5G networks
• Monitor, analyze, and improve critical data KPIs including throughput, latency, packet loss, RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, and user experience metrics
• Proficiency with network performance tools including Ground Hog, TEMS, Nemo, Actix, Atoll, NetAct, U2000,AZQ etc.
• Expert knowledge of data KPIs including throughput, latency, packet loss, RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, CQI, RI, PMI
• Conduct comprehensive Single Cell Field Tests (SCFT) to validate network performance and identify optimization opportunities
• Drive network performance benchmarking and competitive analysis initiatives
• Establish and maintain KPI targets aligned with business objectives and customer experience goals.
• Manage LMS tuning for optimal traffic distribution and resource utilization
• Supports new trail/feature/technology  to achieve smoothly improve experience by driving Performance monitoring
• Implementation and acceptance testing of new node/features in co-ordination with partners, Central Quality & SNOC Team.
• Ensure utilization monitoring and timely optimization/deployment of radio network capacity, license capacity, 4G spectrum and Transmission BW upgrade etc
• Ensuring team development and synergy to deliver high performance culture and safety
• Deriving insights from Customer complaints analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Use of available tool to derive indepth analysis of customer issue and map with technical parameter and optimize the network for best customer experience.
• Conduct root cause analysis for network degradation and customer experience issues
• Present optimization results, KPI trends, and improvement recommendations to stakeholders
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of RAN performance engineers and optimization specialists
• Golden Routes/Railway Routes/National/State highway/City Optimization
• Promptly attending VIBS complaints/Sales Complaints
• Support 5G/4G/2G network roll out and ensure quality parameters and KPI's are met as per the standards stipulated by corporate.
• Promote culture of Safety and Wellbeing and need to be a team player
• Consistently meet TRAI QoS norms

 

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

 

 

• In-depth technical knowledge in radio network parameters & optimization (2G/3G/4G/VoLTE) for Nokia OEM.

 

• Excellent domain knowledge and on- field optimization experience

 

• Hands on experience with tools like Ground Hog. Schema, SOM Arieso, TEMS, NEMO, Atoll, TEOCO, Anritsu , MUSA and crowd based analytic tools etc

 

Very good analytical skills to trouble shoot network quality KPI degradation/ customer complaints

• Should be able to analyze the key issue with depth trouble shooting and 3GPP standard mapping.
• Person should have knowledge on volte and 4G optimization of large network and basic IP network knowledge.

 

• People management capability, very good cross functional co-ordination.
• Experience with Optimization and Multiband tuning with specific LTE equipment of Nokia – MUST HAVE HANDS ON LTE OPTIMIZATION EXPERIENCE AND BE FAMILIAR WITH VENDOR PARAMETERS
• Define LTE parameter settings including multi-band load balancing, traffic management, ANR, SON, and LTE Scheduler values, with particular focus on LTE Traffic management across multiple LTE bands
• Analyze data to understand and identify impact of parameter and software feature changes to determine optimal network configurations

B.Tech Electronics and Telecommunications with 5-7+ years of experience
