Background
- Rigging and Lifting Supervisor: Moving Loads

Accountable For: Responsibilities & Standards
- 1) Develop and Maintain Effective Working Relationships
- 1 Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team, colleagues, and visitors to the working environment.
- 2 Establish and maintain effective communications with team, colleagues, and supervisors.
- 3 Carry out accurate and effective work toolbox talks and handovers.
- 4 Maintain accurate / effective reporting to line and discipline reports.
- 5 Actively participate in lifting community meetings.
- 2) Conduct Slinging and Rigging Operations
- 1 Oversee all crane, rigging and lifting tasks.
- 2 Coach and Mentor personnel performing crane, rigging and lifting tasks.
- 3 Train, Coach and Mentor crew in creating / documenting suitable Lift Plans.
- 4 Perform Conduct Task Risk Assessment and planning of RandL activities.
- 5 Conducting and participation in TBTs and allocation of âlift teamâ roles.
- 6 Perform load weight assessments and Task Risk Assessments prior to lifting awkward loads.
- 7 Check preparation of loads for lifting. (Load security, stability, potential dropped objects etc.).
- 8 Use various lifting items (plate clamps, barrel lifters chain hoists etc.).
- 9 Perform bundling and slinging of âsimpleâ and awkward loads.
- 10 Maintain suitable working condition of slinging equipment (slings, hooks, webbing plate clamps, barrel lifters chain hoists etc.).
- 11 General Rigging Loft management issue and return of equipment, certification, documentation, condition, storage and preservation etc.
- 12 Coordinate periodic inspection and certification of lifting plant and equipment by specialist Vendors.
- 3) Contribute to The Health and Safety of the Working Environment
- 1 Work area within your own responsibility is kept clean and free of hazards.
- 2 Positive action is taken to stop hazards and unsafe behaviors.
- 3 Alarms are raised as appropriate and/or acted upon using applied policies and procedures or initiative.
- 4 All potential and actual incidents are reported to the relevant supervisor.
- 5 Record maintenance activities and report defects immediately and effectively. 4) Emergency Response
- 1 Carry Out Emergency Response role (See Station Bill).
- 2 Demonstrate competence in Emergency Response drills and exercises.

Pre-hire Qualifications and Experience
- Supervisor Knowledge of Rigging stages 1-3.
- Supervisor Knowledge of Slinging and Banksman stages 1-3.
- Knowledge of Lifting Equipment Inspection, Certification Process.
- Lifting Competent Person Assessment (Advantage).
- Writing / creating complex Lift Plans.
- Mentor and development of future Competent Lifting Authority in core crew.
- Rigging Loft control and management.
- Experience in crane operations on floating offshore units.
- Proficiency in English at a minimum of B1 level according to the CEFR international standard.
- Medically fit according to The Company GEMS Instruction Health Requirements to Work Offshore.
