Essential Functions & Responsibilities
As an Operator Specialist, you’ll play a key role in driving volume growth across tier 2 and 3 distribution and operator accounts. You’ll balance relationship management with new business development—bringing forward creative, customer-aligned solutions that deliver results.
- Build and grow relationships with operators, regional chains, and distributors
- Expand market penetration while maintaining and growing existing accounts
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans, promotions, and product initiatives
- Manage a strong pipeline and advance opportunities using CRM tools
- Deliver engaging sales training on pork category expertise
- Coach Distributor Sales Representatives through ride-alongs and training sessions
- Represent Clemens at food shows, customer meetings, and industry events
Qualifications & Competencies
- 1–3 years of foodservice sales or distribution experience
- Strong ability to develop new business and close opportunities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to manage a fast-paced territory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
- Culinary experience (a plus)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel ~75%
