Guides the customer in the selection of the best product for each application, from alloy and temper, to blank size and orientation, to lubricant and packaging.
Coordinates the activities during the tool development process, ensuring that stamping tools are tuned and capable of producing parts within the limits of the mill product specified for the application.
Responsible for the APQP process.
This job requires approximately 30% travel time. Regularly visit customer sites to ensure that the mill products meet requirements and to identify areas of improvement and cost savings. Regular visits to the mill.
Assist as a technical expert in the problem resolution at customer sites.
Coordinates with mill internal quality disciplines the appropriate containment and disposition of non-conformant products at customer and sub-supplier sites, and ensures that follow up corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
Maintains the assigned customer portal to initiate material returns and problem reporting and resolution.
Comply with all EHS programs and requirements for the site.
