Job Description

  • Drive new business growth by identifying, targeting, and converting high‑value prospects in the functional beverage, supplement, and nutrition categories across the East Coast and Midwest.
  • Develop and expand strategic customer relationships, strengthening Glanbia’s position with both existing and newly acquired accounts.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through lead generation, networking, industry events, and market research.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring customer needs are understood and met through innovative ingredient solutions, premix systems, and best‑in‑class nutrition products. Manage all aspects of customer care from initial engagement through order shipment and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, formulation, marketing, operations) to support customer projects, troubleshoot technical issues, and present value‑added solutions—particularly in functional beverage development, supplement formulation, and active nutrition applications.
  • Travel to customers for face‑to‑face meetings to promote new ingredients, conduct innovation sessions, address technical or commercial questions, and ensure customers are aware of the full breadth of Glanbia’s capabilities.
  • Track monthly sales and profit, ensuring business is not lost due to competitive pricing, availability, lead times, or service challenges.
  • Forecast business across all relevant categories using the JDA forecasting system.
  • Follow up on all leads via phone, email, or in‑person visits.
  • Stay current with industry trends in functional beverages, supplements, vitamins/minerals, sports nutrition, and wellness through events, tradeshows, seminars, and industry organizations.
  • Share competitive and market intelligence related to new product development, customer needs, and emerging opportunities.
  • Capture customer and sales activity in CRM, ensuring accurate communication with procurement and distribution partners.
  • Report sales activity through call reports and regular communication with management.
