Human Resources Generalist

This role will serve as the point of contact for employees and managers within shared service environment, supporting the full employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance with local labor laws. Key duties include onboarding, employee relations, payroll support, benefits administration, and performance management.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure all HR activities, including contracts, disciplinary actions, and terminations, strictly comply with Costa Rican labor legislation.

· Act as the first point of contact for employee and managers’ inquiries.

· Support the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring the delivery of necessary documents and information.

· Assist in the administration of benefits and wellness activities, coordinating relations with vendors and communication and support to employees.

· Support the organization of training sessions and internal events.

· Maintain HRIS data integrity, prepare reports, and support employee engagement activities.

· Control and maintain up-to-date employee records, such as attendance, vacations, leaves of absence, and other relevant information.

· Support performance management cycles, employee relations cases and HR programs in general.

· Perform administrative tasks related to Human Resources, such as organizing documents, preparing reports, processing invoices, and providing general support.

 

Required Qualifications & Skills

We look for someone with strong interpersonal skills, high confidentiality and ethics, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

The successful candidate is likely to have:

  •  2 to 4 years of experience in HR, with knowledge of Costa Rican labor regulations.
  • Certification or University Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • English proficiency B2+.
  •  Experience in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP) and Microsoft Office.
