ANNOUNCEMENT OF SUMMER SERVICE VACANCY

POSITION: Cook –Summer Food Program

LOCATION: Robert Bland Middle School

REPORTS TO: Child Nutrition Director

QUALIFICATIONS: As per state and county regulations, those presently employed, or on the Substitute list will be given preference pursuant to WV Code § 18A-4-8b and § 18-5-39(f). Must take and pass cook performance and written test, if not already classified as cook.

1. Must be willing to prepare meals

2. Must be able to perform cook duties

3. Must hold or be able to acquire a valid health card issued by the Lewis County Health Department

4. Must have one-day cook's inservice training and cook competency test, if not already classified as a cook

SCHEDULE: 6:00 AM – 1:00 PM

SALARY: As provided in West Virginia Code 18A-4-8 and 18A-4-8a

(The legal holidays of June 20, 2026 and July 4, 2026 are specifically excluded from the term of this contract and will not be compensated, which will observed on June 19, 2026 & July 3, 2026)

TERM: AS NEEDED

June 12, 2026 – July 13, 2026
