Job Description

LOCATION:  Green Bank Elementary-Middle School

SSalary:
$25.00 per hour.
All Summer School positions will be paid only on days Summer School is in session, pending adequate staffing and student enrollment. Paid holidays are not part of this contract.
 

Term of Employment:
June 29, 2026 - July 31, 2026 *includes one preparation/planning week plus 4 weeks of program


Daily Schedule: **Final times may vary slightly based on total enrollment / bus schedules

Staff

PLANNING/PREPARATION WEEK:  June 29, 2026 - July 3, 2026

July 6, 2026 - July 31, 2026: Maximum 5 hours daily (tentatively 7:30am - 12:30pm), Monday through Thursday; additional professional development and/or preparation time may be provided at the request of the Director

Students (July 6, 2026 - July 31, 2026) - 8:30am-12pm daily, Monday through Thursday

 

CERTIFICATION:
Applicant must possess or be eligible for appropriate West Virginia certification and/or licensure, verification of the existence of teaching experience in the required certification area, degree level in required certification area, specialized training directly related to the performance of the job as stated in the assignment description and satisfactory evaluations over the previous two years. In addition to appropriate certification and/or licensure,criteria to be used is contained in 18A-4-7a of West Virginia Code.


ASSIGNMENT:
Teach and supervise students, maintain all appropriate records, and accept reasonable assignments necessary for a successful program. Work collaboratively with other teachers to carry out instruction. Provide opportunities for students to engage in learning activities that address learning gaps in mathematics and reading through the exploration of wellness, sciences, humanities and the arts as assigned by the Summer School Program Coordinator and/or Director of Curriculum and Instruction.


DUTIES:
o Implement scientifically based research intervention and enrichment programs and strategies with small groups or individual students.
o Collect, maintain and analyze student attendance data and complete WVEIS intervention data reports
o Monitor ongoing progress and make decisions based on the continuous progress of the student and teacher data.
o Engage in co-planning with other classroom staff.
o Provides feedback to the Summer School Coordinator, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, parents and school administration.
o Maintain accurate, complete and appropriated records and file/update.Maintain all files in a well-organized manner.
o Maintain confidentiality of student information.
o Work cooperatively with school administration, support personnel, colleagues, and parent.
o Implement technology related initiatives that guide intervention efforts.
o Review data to create individual program plans for students.
o Submit lesson plans to Summer School Program Coordinator.
o Complete additional duties, as needed, assigned by the Summer School Program Coordinator and/or Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
