Role reports to: Head of Supply Chain MENAP  

Location: Dubai  

What you will do 

The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for leading the demand planning processes to ensure cost-effective stock availability and accurate forecasting. You will manage regional planning staff, collaborate cross-functionally to develop solutions, and drive process improvements to enhance customer service and reduce forecast errors:  

Key Responsibilities 

• Spearhead the development and oversight of demand forecasting and planning models that integrate market trends, advanced analytics, and AI-driven tools to optimize inventory levels and predict distributor demand patterns. 

• Partner with sales, marketing, production, and supply chain stakeholders to design, implement, and synchronize demand planning strategies that enhance agility, responsiveness, and data-informed decision-making. 

• Develop, implement, and maintain planning systems and processes that comply with corporate policies and industry best practices, ensuring accuracy and continuous improvement in forecasting and planning operations. 

• Manage and mentor MENAP demand planning staff, fostering a high-performance team environment focused on accuracy, innovation, and process improvements to reduce forecast error and enhance customer service levels. 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with regional supply planning and internal/external stakeholders to support seamless planning operations and communicate the business impact of planning trade-offs clearly to support informed decision-making. 

• Drive the collaborative planning process with key distributors, capturing  in-market intelligence to enhance the quality of demand forecast 

• Organize and deliver timely forecasting communications and present demand insights and scenario analyses to executive leadership, driving  sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes to contribute market intelligence and risk analysis that support business growth. 

• Lead demand planning for new product introductions, ensuring launch forecasts and PIPO plans are accurately reflected in the regional S&OP cycle. 

What we are looking for 

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or related disciplines. 

• More than 8-10 years of progressive experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or related roles. 

• Proven leadership experience managing teams in a complex, fast-paced environment. 

• Strong expertise in demand forecasting methodologies and statistical forecasting tools. 

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement compliant planning processes and systems. 

• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound judgment within defined frameworks. 

• Experience with sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes and inventory management. 

• Effective communication skills to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences. 

• Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecast accuracy and customer satisfaction.

• Proven expertise in leveraging advanced statistical software and machine learning techniques for demand forecasting within complex supply chains. 

• Demonstrated ability to translate large datasets into actionable demand plans that balance customer satisfaction with operational efficiency.
