Description
Role expectations
- Lead and coordinate global month-end close activities to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with U.S. GAAP
- Supervise core general ledger functions, including fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and selected cash receipts accounting
- Maintain and manage module closings within SAP and related systems
- Establish and administer the corporate close calendar, ensuring adherence to deadlines and alignment across global entities
- Serve as a key liaison between corporate and international accounting teams
- Oversee monthly foreign currency rate setup within SAP
- Manage and develop U.S. accounting staff while supporting global business partners
- Identify accounting issues, research technical matters, and drive timely resolution Partner with IT to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues
- Review and approve account reconciliations for assigned areas
- Deliver global training on reconciliation processes and general accounting best practices
- Support the development, implementation, and enforcement of global accounting policies in compliance with U.S. GAAP
- Coordinate quarterly and annual audit activities, including preparation of consolidated balance sheet flux analysis
- Support SEC reporting through preparation of schedules and analytical review
- Serve as the BlackLine system administrator, including oversight of data loads, calendar management, and system maintenance
- Support ERP initiatives, including new entity setups, test script development, validation of results, and data migration
What we're looking for
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- Certification: CPA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including international accounting
- 3+ years supporting internal and external reporting
- Experience as a SOX process owner4+ years of people management experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge under U.S. GAAP
- Deep understanding of general accounting operations and financial reporting processes
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with management and cross-functional groups
- Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience with SAP/S4 HANA or other large ERP system
- Experience with BlackLine or similar reconciliation tools

Both exempt and non-exempt employees who work 32 hours or more per week receive prorated vacation accrual based on their regularly scheduled work hours and tenure.
- Sick time is accrued throughout the year at the rate of one hour for every thirty worked. Employees can carry over unused sick leave each year, up to a maximum balance of 80 hours.

- If employed for at least 12 consecutive months, Align will grant up to 6 weeks of paid Parental Leave. - Non-exempt employees will receive full pay for up to 10 days of jury duty. Exempt employees will receive their full salary during any week they serve and perform any work. Other insurance such as legal, critical illness, voluntary accident, long-term care, auto, home and pet insurance are available for purchase.
