Preschool Aide (Part-Time)

Position Overview

St. Patrick Catholic School is seeking a caring, dependable, and faith-filled Preschool Aide to support our early childhood classroom on a part-time basis. The Preschool Aide will assist the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment rooted in Catholic values and traditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the preschool teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson preparation
• Support children during learning centers, playtime, meals, and rest periods
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
• Supervise students to ensure safety and positive behavior
• Encourage social, emotional, spiritual, and academic development
• Participate in school activities, prayer, and Catholic traditions as appropriate
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with staff and parents
• Follow all school policies and child safety procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience working with preschool or early childhood-aged children preferred
• Supportive of the mission and values of Catholic education
• Warm, patient, and dependable with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Background check and safe environment training required before employment

Schedule

• Part-time position
• School-year schedule
• Hours may vary based on classroom needs

Compensation

• $16.00/hr
