Enterprise Sales Development Representative (SDR)
Location: South Africa
Employment Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday (schedule availability)
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and organized B2B Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support our enterprise sales team. This role focuses on qualifying inbound leads, collecting required documents, conducting initial discovery calls, and scheduling qualified merchants with senior brokers.
You will work with established businesses across industries such as construction, healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, and professional services. This is a great opportunity to learn about commercial financing and grow within the sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Qualification
- Contact inbound leads by phone and email
- Conduct discovery calls to understand the merchant’s business and funding needs
- Ask qualifying questions around revenue, time in business, credit profile, debt, and intended use of funds
- Identify suitable financing solutions
- Explain the process and next steps clearly to merchants
Document Collection
- Request and collect required documents such as bank statements, IDs, applications, and financials
- Ensure all documents are complete and accurate before moving deals forward
- Follow up professionally on outstanding documents
- Keep records updated in the CRM system
Sales Coordination
- Schedule qualified merchants with senior brokers
- Prepare merchants for broker calls by setting expectations
- Coordinate smooth handovers between SDRs and brokers
- Share relevant deal information and notes with the broker team
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Log all activities, notes, and documents accurately in Zoho CRM
- Maintain updated lead statuses and follow-up tasks
- Meet daily activity and qualification targets
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in sales, sales support, inside sales, or lead qualification
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized with good attention to detail
- Comfortable handling financial documentation professionally
- Able to manage multiple leads and follow-ups
- Self-motivated, coachable, and target-driven
- Excellent English (B2 level), communication skills (verbal and written).
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in banking or finance
- Experience reviewing business bank statements
- Exposure to mid-market or larger business clients
