Elementary Mathematics Coordinator (2026-2027)
Job Description
Primary Purpose:
Provide leadership, coordination, and support for the district's elementary mathematics program to ensure high-quality, aligned, and research-based instruction that improves student achievement in mathematics. Support campus administrators and teachers through curriculum development, instructional coaching, assessment analysis, intervention planning, and professional learning focused on effective, guaranteed, and viable elementary math instruction.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master's degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong knowledge of elementary mathematics curriculum, instruction, and assessment
- Knowledge of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and state accountability systems related to mathematics
- Ability to analyze student achievement and assessment data to improve instructional effectiveness
- Knowledge of evidence-based mathematics instructional practices and intervention strategies
- Ability to develop and deliver professional learning for adult learners
- Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support differentiated instruction and mathematical problem-solving practices
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience in elementary mathematics
Instructional coaching or campus/district leadership experience preferred
Work Schedule: 221 days
Salary: Pay Grade 4 - Administrative/Professional Hiring Schedule
