Full time hospice registered nurse

 

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full Time Hospice Registered Nurse to join our team in Livonia, MI. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care to those nearing the end of life, supporting both patients and their families through this vital stage. The ideal candidate will be a licensed RN with hospice experience, committed to delivering exceptional care and comfort in a home care setting. This is a full-time salaried position, with a rotating on-call schedule of three days one week and four days the next.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to hospice patients in their homes, following the plan of care.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document observations accurately.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient support.
• Educate patients and families about symptom management and hospice services.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and changes in condition.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
• Experience in hospice or palliative nursing is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor.
