Job Description
University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide high-quality care and support to clients in Van Buren Township, MI. This role involves assisting clients with their daily living activities to help them maintain independence and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding if needed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Monitor clients’ health and report any changes or concerns to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Follow care plans and communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a personal care aide or in a similar caregiving role is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a genuine desire to help others.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass background checks as required.
