DESCRIPTION
Madison District Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Physical Education and Health Teacher for our middle school. The successful candidate will foster a positive and inclusive environment, promote physical fitness and wellness, and help students develop lifelong healthy habits.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate in Physical Education (MB) and Health (MA)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for student wellness, fitness, and holistic health.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with students, parents, and staff.
• Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills.
• Experience with middle school-aged students preferred.
• Competency in student management and supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging physical education and health lessons aligned with state standards.
• Promote the development of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and administration.
• Integrate health education, including nutrition, mental health, and personal wellness topics.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Participate in school activities, professional development, and collaborative planning.
• Uphold district policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor.
