Job Description

TITLE:

Cook - 11:00am-1:00pm (Student Attendance Days - 174 days)

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
  2. Ability to lift and move 50 pounds.
  3. Ability to work as a team member and independently.
  4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

 

REPORTS TO:

Lead Cook and Food Service Director

 

JOB GOAL:

To serve the students appealing and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and safety.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Assist in the on-site preparation and serving of food, followed by appropriate clean-up.
  • Trained and capable of assuming the responsibilities of Lead Cook when necessary.
  • Responsible for safe, proper and efficient use of all kitchen equipment.
  • Insures strict compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Performs tasks as may from time to time be requested or assigned by the Lead Cook, Food Service Director, or principal.
  • Supports and implements the goals of the Board of Education.

Terms of Employment: 11:00am - 1:00pm on days students lunches are served as determined by the Food Service Director and Superintendent and approved by the Board. Salary to be determined annually by the Board. Minimum hourly rate is $15.45.
