allnex is looking for a hands-on and technically strong TS&D Chemist to be based in our lab in Mumbai, India to support our coatings business through formulation expertise, customer engagement, and new product development support.

Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of allnex’s resin portfolio, including product performance, applications, and market positioning
- Provide technical support to customers in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and regional TS&D teams
- Investigate and respond to customer technical queries, including planning and executing lab trials and experiments
- Conduct formulation work, benchmarking, and material characterisation in a laboratory environment
- Recommend existing products or develop new solutions to address unmet customer needs
- Identify market trends and emerging technologies, translating insights into product development opportunities
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support new product development projects and commercial initiatives
- Provide technical guidance to internal stakeholders, including Sales and Marketing teams
- Maintain accurate records, analyse experimental data, and communicate results clearly
Required skills and experience
- 3–5 years of experience in coatings formulation and application
- Experience in architectural or OEM coatings is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience in:
- Formulation and lab testing
- Material characterisation
- Coating application and evaluation
- Familiarity with coating technologies such as:
- Amino crosslinkers
- Powder coatings
- Radiation-curable systems (advantage)
- Strong understanding of coatings applications and customer requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Paint Technology, or related field
