Reports to: Learning Resource Specialist
Expected Start Date: August 17, 2026

Position Description:

The Learning Resource Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Learning Resource Specialist and the Michael Ufer Learning Program. This position ensures the smooth coordination of learning plans, school-based testing accommodations, and resource programs. By managing logistical and organizational tasks, this role contributes to the school's dedication to academic inclusivity and student success.

Essential Functions: 

  1. Testing Center
    1. Maintain Test Center Calendar and sign ups
    2. Proctor general student makeup exams after school as assigned by the Learning Resource Specialist
    3. Organize and oversee extended time and specialized testing accommodations through the school year and during final exams
  2. Standardized Testing Coordination
    1. AP Coordinator
    2. SAT in the School Day Coordinator
    3. PSAT Coordinator
    4. Assist High School Placement exam by coordinating and proctoring all accommodation requests
  3. Individual Learning Plan (ILP) Support
    1. Support Learning Resource Specialist in management of accommodation requests for current students
    2. Act as the SSD Coordinator to support the application and submission process for College Board and ACT accommodations
  4. Academic Support
    1. As assigned by the Learning Resource Specialist, directly support students to help with their learning needs, executive function, and learning plans
    2. Serve as a resource for student questions related to ILPs, testing center, learning plans and academic progress
  5. Communication and Reporting
    1. Serve as a liaison between students, parents, and the Learning Resource Specialist regarding accommodation updates and program adjustments.
    2. Maintain accurate records of accommodations, schedules, and communications using Google Suite and other relevant tools.
  6. Administrative Support of Learning Resource Specialist
    1. Schedule and coordinate appointments for parents and students with the Learning Resource Specialist.
    2. Support Learning Resource Specialist preparing BBHS Learning Plans
    3. Assist the Learning Resource Specialist as directed

Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an education related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a classroom or educational setting
  • Familiarity with standardized testing processes (AP, PSAT, SAT, ACT) and accommodations procedures.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Forms, Calendar) and other educational software
  • Understanding of student accommodations for neurodiverse learners
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive student information and documentation
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple calendars and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and administrators.
  • Problem-solving skills to address testing conflicts, last-minute changes, and student needs.

Compensation: 

Hourly Range: $31.90- $38.98/hour Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.

Schedule and additional details about the work environment:

  • Start date: Teacher calendared days +5 before (August 17, 2026)
  • End date: Teacher calendared days +5 after (June 18, 2027)
  • Regular Hours: 7:30 AM�3:00 PM plus after school test center supervision on set days
