Description
Summary:
Key Responsibilities

Cleaning and Sanitation:
- Maintain cleaning and sanitation following the company’s Master Sanitation Program.
- Clean and sanitize processing walls, floor, and equipment using chemicals and cleaning agents.
- Remove debris from processing area.
- Verify the adequacy of cleaning and sanitation performed on areas and equipment using.

Safety and Compliance:
- Maintain plant safety by properly using sanitation tools and testing when applicable.
- Communicate chemical supply levels to management.
- Observe and record facility conditions to ensure all areas are within company and regulatory specifications.
- Document actions taken in response to unsatisfactory observations on equipment, utensils, and/or process area conditions.

Maintenance and Support:
- Maintain and proper use of equipment.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Provide backup support for other duties as needed.
- Become certified as an electric pallet jack and forklift operator.

- Experience with the utilization of sanitation tools and chemicals, food safety, and the safe operation of forklifts and powered pallet jacks

- Must be able to watch and react to changing situations, to ensure safety.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to carefully complete tasks and skillful actions, making sure to pay close attention to details and accuracy.
- Ability to read a limited number of two and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- Ability to understand and carry out written or oral instructions.
- Capable of working and communicating in loud environments, while focusing on tasks.
- Capable of training in using specialized tools and equipment pertinent to operations.
- Capable of solving simple math equations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
